Mr.
Ed Schutt,
our Director of Music, comes by his great love and
calling for church music quite naturally, since his
father, William H. Schutt, was the Minister of Music at
Richmond's Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church for some
35 years. He retired at the end of 2003
after 30 years as Organist-Choirmaster at Westminster
Presbyterian Church. Besides invaluable study and
training under his father, he studied music at St.
Andrew's Presbyterian College and graduated from
Lenoir-Rhyne College. He has also worked for 32 years at
the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond in benefits
administration, and has a wife (Sue), two grown sons
(Chris and Marshall), two grandsons (Ned and Charlie),
and a beloved golden retriever (Murray). |
