Many
people today have it all: cars, nice houses,
good jobs and a loving family. Despite all
of this, something seems to be missing. Many
people eventually come to realize that what is
missing in their lives is God. You will experience
God at Christ Ascension, through hearing the
scriptures read, meeting those who know the love
of God, or by receiving communion around our
altar.
Where I Can Make a
Difference
For
many people, spirituality isn’t so much about what
we receive as it is about what we
give. Because we are in the process of
rebuilding, we have many opportunities to
serve. We need people to assist with
worship, work behind the scenes, minister to the
poor and hungry and pass on good values to our
young people. We need
you!
Sermons That Deal With the Real

Preaching at Christ Ascension aims to
address the spiritual issues that modern people
face. Often, sermon topics are generated by
the discussion groups that take place at our
church. The sermons you hear will help you
live your life!

A Church That’s Doing
Something Exciting
Not long ago Christ Ascension faced a
crucial turning point. Membership was down and we
faced closing our doors --
permanently. Convincing our diocese
that we could make something happen was not an
easy task. But we did, and the diocese
responded with additional funding and a priest
with a history of turning around declining
churches. Through the efforts of everyone in
the church, we have undergone a real
rebirth. We are experiencing new growth,
expanding our ministry and welcoming many new
families into our community.
You Won’t Feel Like an
Outsider
At
Christ Ascension, whether you're looking for
fellowship with other Christians, to grow
spiritually, or to give to the community, we're
confident you'll find it here. We have a
weekly Bible study to discuss and increase
our understanding of God's word. Difficult
issues are taken on during Adult Education.
We have a food pantry, supper group, crafts group,
youth activities and many other
opportunities throughout the
